If you have spreadsheet with two layers can you adjust the size of columns independently? E.g. On layer 1 I want column A to be 16 cm wide and on layer 2 Column A is to be 5 cm wide.

No, you cannot adjust column widths (or row hights) independently in different layers of a spreadsheet. Compare it to a "Rubic's cube". What you can do is: merge the cells of two columns in one of the layers and thereby somehow create a wider column.

Thanks for the answer. Pity, it just makes may life a bit more complicated. I have already done what you suggested (plan B). I had hoped there was an easier way. Back to plan B :-(
