Release Notes - RagTime - Build 1625

(Due to a combination of Easter holidays, some experimental changes we did afterwards, and new authorisation dialogues that needed some testing and discussions, we did not publish builds of the previous weeks. This build 1625 starts the regular "Nightly Build" series again.)

Improvements

  • RT-10994 - In some lists in dialogues (e.g. the font list), the selected object did not always scroll into view when opening the dialogue.
  • RT-11264 - Given certain circumstances, formulae were not displayed in the formula palette, when selecting a cell.
  • RT-10941 - (Windows:) Behaviour when trying to delete the number of copies in print dialogue was ugly.
  • RT-11264 - In some cases, formulae of protected cells where not displayed in formula palette after unlocking the document.

Stability

  • RT-10946 - "Select all" in a graph did crash when a label was selected for moving.
  • RT-10073 - In some cases, documents needed to be saved under a different name to keep RagTime running.
  • RT-11239 - Switching between graph types caused problems if done often and fast.

Quite a lot of stability enhancements are in this build, based on log files sent to us.

Minor UI Enhancement

  • (void) - New authorisation dialogue, should be easier to understand. See below.
  • RT-10439 - Dialogue for selecting layout components to create an index or table of contents is resizable now.

The authorisation dialogues in RagTime caused too much misunderstanding, particularly the sequence of actions was not understood by many users (get an authorisation code using the delivery number in the package etc.).
The new design should be much easier to understand.
Note: In this build, the dialogues are not localised for French and Dutch, English is preliminary (aka "Developish"). This is no bug, we just did not want to delay the publication of this build due to translation tasks.
